Surgical Instrument Magnetism Detector Wand New Laser Line Surgical Instrument Metal Detector
Finding Instruments in Surgical Drape Disposal Now Easier and More Reliable With Wizard 4’s Laser Visual Indicator
Developed to detect surgical instruments quicker, easier and more reliably, Wizard Industries of Sebastopol, CA has released the new Wizard 4 Laser Line Surgical Instrument Metal Detector, the first to utilize laser indication. The new tool provides pinpoint accuracy for recovering valuable surgical tools during operating room inspection and surgical drape disposal. Now with twice the detection capability, it is the first of its kind to use a laser line indicator, providing a more effective solution. The improved design means metal medical tools can now be detected with greater ease and precision.
The Wizard 4 accurately indicates the presence of metal up to 4” away with a bright red laser line. Working in conjunction with a sound indicator for more thorough readings, the tool detects instruments made of metal, steel, stainless steel, zinc, magnesium and aluminum with the simplicity of a conductor’s baton.
With improved false-positive rejection and automatic calibration, the Wizard 4 now provides the greatest ease and power for the medical industry, where detection of surgical instruments can save thousands of dollars or more. Improved from earlier versions with a new circuit design for maximum effectiveness, it has also been updated ergonomically for easier one-handed use.
“The amount of money lost on surgical instruments disposed with surgical drapes is astronomical,” said Billy Carmen, CEO of Wizard Industries. “I updated this tool to give hospital professionals a powerful, precision-based, feature-rich metal detector so those mistakes are easily eliminated. And now, as the first metal detector to employ a laser line, visual detection is going to be easier than ever.”
The patent pending Wizard 4 Laser Line Surgical Instrument Metal Detector carries a MSRP of $149.95
