Dr. Bill Rogers
Avant-Garde Productions, produces a family of television shows that have aired on HGTV, SPEED, Fox, CBS, NBC, Dish Network, Adelphia Cable and Time Warner Cable

Dr. Bill Rogers has enjoyed his work as a broadcaster and meteorologist for the past 30 years.  Prior to that, he was an Air Force Meteorologist who had won back-to-back forecasting competitions in 1978 and 1979.   He assignments in the Air Force included that 
as meteorologist overseeing the space launch activities at Vandenberg AFB in California and as Atmospheric Forecaster for the North American Air Defense Command, better known as NORAD, inside Cheyenne Mountain near Colorado Springs, Colorado.
 
He started his career in television in 1981 at KRBC-TV in Abilene Texas as their Chief Meteorologist and in his first year was awarded the API and UPI Best Broadcast for a Meteorologist for Markets 100 to 150.  Since then he has been recipient of numerous 
awards and recognitions.   He moved up the television ladder from Abilene to larger markets to include Buffalo, Tucson and Harrisburg.  
 
He is the author of "The Weather Within" which is the first work ever to connect the dots between the weather and its effects on the human body.  He wrote and developed the curriculum for his own Storm Tracker Weather Lessons which allowed teachers to create an interest in science by teaching a module in class with a live follow-up to that same lesson that evening from Rogers on TV.    Because of the  hundreds of thousands of students that benefited by these lesson, which created an interest in sceince, he was recognized by the National Education Association for his efforts with his storm Tracker Weather Lessons.  For over 10 years, Rogers also taught Marketing, Public Relations and Writing for the Media as an adjunct professor for the State University of New 
York. 
 
In January, 1984 he and his wife launched WeatherVision, a company that supplied weather forecasts to over 50 radio stations 
across the nation and provided forecasts to many DOT interests.
 
On television today, Rogers is the Host and Executive Producer of 
Technology Today airing in 141 cities nationwide to an audience of over 8 million viewers.   He has made many appearances on CBS's the Early Show and the Weather Channel for his annual bike trips
