I BOUGHT 6 POST HOLDERS FOR A SMALL 16 X 8 WOOD DECK THAT I CONSTRUCTED. WOW DID THEY DO THE JOB. THEY ARE VERY STERDY, AND STRONG. I AM VERY HAPPY WITH POST HOLDERS, AND ALSO HAPPY WITH WIZARD INDUSTRIES FOR THE FAST DELIVERY. THANKS ART LONGO
In my earlier review I related my excellent experience with these folks' outstanding customer service. Now about the product...As I said, I purchased these flanges last January to complete my as-yet unfinished deck. This was the best decision I've made on that deck next to using 2 x 12's and stainless steel screws. The flanges were stunningly simple to mount and they are incredibly stout! I mounted all my 42", 4" x 4"rail posts using these flanges first, and even before I attached the railing - I found them to be solid enough to take a 200# pull with minimal flex. They've been installed for almost a year now in direct sunlight, through the summer and winter, rain sleet and snow, and they look just like they did when they were brand new. Not a crack or split anywhere, no fading or UV damage either. And in case you were wondering - no - the surface of my deck was anything but perfect. Not only do I highly recommend these, but I'll use them on every deck rail I build from now on out....
Bought these to use on the railing for an extension to my existing deck. They looked so good that I tore the railing down from the old deck and rebuilt it using these. Great Product, better than I expected.
I can't believe this! I ordered 45 of these yesterday, 01/30/15 at 1100. I received a confirmation immediately and notification that they had shipped by 1300. Just after 1630 (this is all the same day, mind you) I was notified by the Post Office (USPS) they had a package for me. Today, 01/31/15 at just about 1430, my mail gal waltzed up on my as-yet-unfinished deck with two boxes full of these beauties! This has never happened! I didn't expect them for at least a week, and using standard ground freight I have them the very next day! That is amazing! I haven't used them yet, but I took a hammer to one of them, then stuck a 4"x4" post in it and tried to wrench it around - they look plenty solid to me! I purchased them to install posts and railing to finish my new deck, and that will happen as soon as the weather breaks. I'll forward pictures and a full review once I'm done.... Keep up the OUTSTANDING customer service!!!!
When building my back deck and searching online for a way to support my railing I just stumbled across the Wizard Ind site. I saw these and watched the video and I was hooked !!! What a great product and they look perfect and will last for ever no rust and also very easy to move or readjust.I can not believe how strong these flanges are for support I have a wood cedar old Florida home and have used these on decks and stair railings around my home also bought several spares just to keep when I start on a new project
This is a tremendous product! It makes sense to use this product and have good durable support for your handrails, decking, porch railing and posts. As a builder I use it all the time. I highly recommend it! It's definately a time saver. Once you've tried it, you won't go back to the old way of doing things.
